How a simple shuttle ride turned into a foodie adventure

Riding in a Circuit shuttle led me to the best Ramen of my life

To help our new employees understand our company culture and the impact of our service on the communities we serve, we encourage them to participate in a ride-a-long.

A ride-a-long is a unique opportunity for employees to see our service in action and gain valuable insights into our operations. It provides a hands-on experience that will deepen their understanding of our mission and values, and equip them to perform their role more effectively.

I recently had the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of Circuit as part of my onboarding process. I took a ride-along in New Rochelle, New York, a culturally rich community located in Westchester County. During my journey, I had lunch at Roc N Ramen, a restaurant that seamlessly combines Jamaican and Japanese flavors.

The pride and sense of community among the African-American patrons was palpable. The restaurant's owner and chef shared that their unique fusion cuisine, blending Jamaican and Japanese flavors, was a reflection of their heritage and passion for food. I ordered the Curried Oxtail Ramen, which was beautifully presented and had an inviting aroma. The broth was rich and flavorful, the oxtail was tender and fell off the bone, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the vegetables were fresh. The combination of Jamaican and Japanese flavors was incredible and exceeded my expectations. The ringing of bells at the counter indicated that other customers were also impressed by the fusion ramen.

From my seat at the counter, I observed many customers using Circuit vehicles to arrive at the restaurant. The owner and chef shared with me that they utilize the service on a daily basis due to its convenience, its ability to decrease traffic, and their belief in being responsible environmental stewards. I was savoring one of the finest fusion ramen soups of my life and hearing enthusiastic praise for Circuit's services without even having to ask. As I exited the establishment, I felt a surge of pride in Circuit's positive impact on communities. However, my thoughts were quickly interrupted by the two honks from the Circuit mobile app, indicating that my driver ambassador was two minutes away.
