How do I verify my email address?

Learn how to troubleshoot email verification issues for the Ride Circuit app.

Starting December 2022, we require all users on our rider app to verify the email addresses associated with their accounts. 

New and returning users will be prompted to validate their email addresses within seven days (the seven days are not universal, every user will have their own seven-day countdown from the time they make an account or reopen the app).

No one will be blocked from making ride requests within the seven-day window. We decided to use the seven-day window to give people time to complete this verification process if they are not able to do so immediately upon opening the app.

If a user fails to validate their address before the deadline, they will be blocked from creating ride requests until validation is complete.

Email Verification FAQs

When do I need to verify my email address?

You will have a seven-day grace period starting the day you open the updated app. Verify your email address within that period and your service will not be affected.

Will I be able to ride with an unverified email address?

We understand you may not be able to verify your account right away. You will be able to request rides within your seven-day grace period.

What if I don't verify my email address by the end of the grace period?

If you have not verified your email address by the end of the grace period, you will not be able to request rides. Verify your email address and you will be ready to ride again.

Can I change the email address associated with my account?

Yes. If you want to change the email address on your account you will be prompted to enter your password.

I forgot my password. How can I change it?

To change your password, go to the app Menu, then the Edit Profile Page, then click “Change Password”. This will send a code to the email address currently associated with your account. Then you can enter that code in the app to change your password. Once you have changed your password you can return to the verification page and restart the process with your new password.

I cannot access the email address associated with my account and I don't remember my password. How can I update my account?

If you cannot access the email address currently associated with your account please contact support. You may also delete your current account and make a new one with a new email address. To delete your account, go to the Menu, then Edit Profile Page, then click “Delete Your Account”.

I tried to send the pin code to my email address but I don't see it.

First, check your spam folder, then check if the email address you entered is correct and resend the PIN. If you still don’t see your PIN code please contact support.

I verified my email address, but when I open the app it is still prompting me to verify my account.

Sometimes it takes a moment for our system to update. If you are still seeing the verification prompt, please quit the app, wait 30 seconds, and reopen the app. If you are still seeing the verification message please contact support.

It says there is already an account under the new email I entered.

You will not be able to update your email address if that email is associated with another user account. If you accidentally created two accounts you can always delete one of them.
