Circuit’s Whittier Cruiser Completes 10,000+ Rides in First 60 Days, Achieving a $7 Cost Per Rider

Circuit announced today that its newest service, the Whittier Cruiser, has delivered more than 10,000 passenger trips in just two months since its June 2025 launch. Early results show the service as one of the most cost-efficient and community-driven microtransit programs currently operating in the United States.

The Whittier Cruiser is a free, on-demand electric shuttle that connects residents and visitors to jobs, schools, shops, and entertainment. Trips are booked through the Ride Circuit app, providing a reliable and sustainable alternative to car travel.

Performance highlights from the first 60 days include:

• 10,000+ passenger trips completed.
• $7 cost per rider (CPR), making Whittier one of the most cost-efficient microtransit services.
• 2,200+ unique riders establishing daily routines around the service.
• 4.89 / 5 average rider rating from the community.
• 11 local jobs created, with seven filled by Whittier residents.
• 1,005 gallons of gasoline saved and 8.5 metric tons of CO₂ prevented, this is equal to removing two gas-powered cars from the road for a full year.
• 8.8 passengers per vehicle hour (ppvh), among the strongest early performance metrics in microtransit.
