At Circuit, every ride starts long before a vehicle pulls up to the curb. It begins with the people behind the scenes who plan the service, support the drivers, maintain the fleet, analyze the data, answer late-night messages, build partnerships, and make sure communities receive seamless transportation.
Powered by Circuit highlights the team members who connect communities and keep people moving. Their work often happens behind the scenes, but their impact is visible in every ride. Because of our team members, a commuter makes it to the office, a senior gets to a healthcare appointment, a neighbor gets their groceries, and local businesses welcome new faces through the door.
Equitable transportation is not just a product of technology or vehicles. It is built by people who care deeply about the cities we serve and the riders who depend on us. This series is a look at the individuals whose dedication, problem-solving, and local knowledge make that mission real every day.
This month we highlight Camille Santiago, our People Operations Specialist.
You might see a Circuit vehicle on the street or meet a driver during your ride; behind every one of those interactions is someone making sure drivers feel supported, informed, and set up to succeed. For Circuit, that person is Camille Santiago.
Camille joined Circuit seven years ago, starting in operations in Hollywood, Florida and eventually supporting multiple markets across South Florida. As the company grew, so did her role. What began in operations naturally evolved into People Operations, where she helped build structure, communication, and support systems as the team scaled from 50 to more than 500 employees.
Today, Camille supports teams across the East Coast, working across onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and day-to-day problem solving. No two days look the same, but the goal is consistent. Make sure employees and drivers have what they need to do their jobs well. That includes being responsive, transparent, and present.
As Circuit has grown, maintaining that connection hasn’t always been easy. Communication becomes more complex at scale, but Camille has remained a steady point of contact, balancing clarity with care and making sure drivers always have a voice.
Throughout her time at Circuit, Camille has stepped into whatever the company needed most. From managing markets to helping establish People Operations, she has played a key role in shaping how Circuit supports its team today.
Camille demonstrated this support during the COVID-19 pandemic when she crafted and implemented our COVID safety policies. Camille helped our drivers navigate the hardships and general confusion that came with the times, built screens for our EVs, and handed out masks.
Through coordination with leadership and employees, behind-the-scenes administrative work, real-time problem-solving, and a genuine care for the work she does, Camille successfully protected the livelihoods of our drivers and the well-being of the communities we serve throughout the pandemic.
Camille’s meticulous thoughtfulness wasn’t a one-off during COVID, connecting people is a big part of why she joined Circuit in the first place.
What stands out isn’t a single moment, but the consistency behind it. Camille shows up the same way every day, solving problems, supporting people and teams, and making sure nothing or anyone falls through the cracks. That’s what has shaped her growth at Circuit.
Over the years, she’s taken on a range of roles, building a deep understanding of the business and becoming someone her team can rely on. What matters most to her is the ability to help people, whether that’s supporting someone through a challenge, solving a problem in real time, or simply being a steady resource.
That sense of responsibility extends beyond the team. It connects directly to why she joined Circuit in the first place, drawn to the opportunity to create transportation that connects people to their communities and makes cities more accessible.
As microtransit continues to evolve, Camille sees that impact growing. She believes in a future where cities are more connected, accessible, and human, where transportation brings people closer to their communities rather than isolating them.
With the help of valued team members like Camille, Circuit delivers cutting edge transit solutions that make a difference for real communities made of real people. Circuit doesn’t just operate a service. It builds a system people can rely on.
